GoDaddy Launches New AI tool to Save Small Business Owners Time

GoDaddy

Website tool provider GoDaddy recently announced the launch of a new artificial intelligence tool, which it claims will save small business owners time as they establish their online presence and try to win new customers. It’s called Airo, and according to the company, it’s always evolving.

"Generative AI is the great equalizer for small businesses," said GoDaddy President, U.S. Independents, Gourav Pani. "Technology and capabilities usually reserved for large companies with thousands of employees are now at the fingertips of anyone looking to start or grow their business. GoDaddy Airo combines the latest AI technology with the ease of use we’re known for – providing effortless and intuitive solutions to small businesses."

"Because it’s AI-powered, GoDaddy Airo is constantly evolving and improving to make sure small businesses are benefiting from the latest technology," he added. "We’re just scratching the surface of what’s possible."

Airo can recommend domain names based on a basic description of a business, so even if an aspiring business owner has only a general idea, they can get started with their online presence quickly. Once the domain is registered, the tool can go further and create content for the business, including a logo, and even a full website, complete with imagery and content. The content, according to the company, is designed to help businesses engage and attract customers.

The tool will also provide a business with an email account and the ability to register as an LLC, so you really can start a business quickly. Perhaps even more helpful is that it will generate custom product descriptions for an online store if you simply upload product photos.

Beyond getting a small business and e-commerce website up and running, Airo will even help out with your marketing plan. It will quickly provide email marketing campaigns with suggested content and imagery, as well as a social media calendar with recommendations for the ideal times to post. It will also generate social media and search ads to help you drive traffic to your site.

GoDaddy notes that Airo will be helpful to brick-and-mortar businesses in addition to e-commerce businesses. Airo has capabilities (currently in beta) that will allow a business to create a product or service catalog for their point-of-sale device by just taking a picture. It will also generate real-time insights on the business’s sales trends using voice commands on GoDaddy’s Smart Terminal Point-of-Sale device.

GoDaddy claims that businesses using its AI tools (based on data from paid US users who signed up between August and September of 2023 and published their websites on the same day) generate 28 more sales than other users.

As more tool providers, like GoDaddy and its competitors, provide more sophisticated AI tools, small businesses stand to gain a great deal in saved time and smart decision-making capabilities. It will be quite interesting to see how the landscape evolves over the rest of 2024 and beyond.
